Hare Krishna Prabhus and Matajis,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

I just read a beautiful verse from Srimad Bhagavatam, Canto 1, Chapter 9, Verse 16, spoken by Bhishmadev, which offers an important lesson:

na hvijijñāsayā yuktā
muhyanti kavayoā yuktāitam
yad vijijñāsayā yuktā
muhyanti kavayo ’pi hi

“O King, no one can know the plan of the Lord [Śrī Kṛṣṇa]. Even though great philosophers inquire exhaustively, they are bewildered.”

From this verse, we understand that Krishna’s plan is beyond human comprehension. Bhiṣhmadev refers to it as “daiva-tantram —the enchantment of providence”. This raises an important question: Having realized that we cannot understand Krishna’s plan, how should we act?

The answer is simple but deep: we should accept everything that happens as part of Krishna’s divine plan. We must see His hand in every situation—whether it appears favorable or unfavorable. The more we try to make elaborate plans, the more we realize how little control we actually have. The best approach is to perform our duties sincerely and be ready to adjust according to Krishna’s will.

As Krishna says in the Bhagavad-gita: nimitta-matram bhava — “Just become My instrument.”

Additionally, there’s a verse from the Naradiya Purana that emphasizes this truth:

yat bhāvi tat bhavati eva
yat abhāvyam na tat bhavet
iti niścita-buddhīnām
cintā na bādhate kvacit

“Whatever is destined to happen will certainly happen. What is not destined will never occur. For one whose intelligence is fixed in this understanding, anxiety never arises.”

Therefore, when Krishna has a plan, we should not be unnecessarily disturbed. It is always His plan that succeeds. Even if we make countless efforts to change an outcome, it will still unfold according to His will. So, when things are beyond our control, why worry? Simply surrender to Krishna with faith and devotion, and we will be freed from all anxieties.

Your servant,
Satya Sara das
